side.gif (7382 bytes)Rose belong to many different families, or classes.  The two most familiar classes are the Hybrid Teas and the Floribundas.  There are thousands of different varieties in each of these two classes, and many new introductions each year.  However, Hybrid Teas and Floribundas are just two of many different families in the world of roses.

At Rose Fire, Ltd., we choose to grow some of the other, older classes of roses - many are more suited for our climate, and busy schedules.  Most of the older, forgotten classes can survive, and even thrive in the frigid winters and the stifling heat of Midwest summers.

Rose Classes are like human families, the individuals that belong to the class have many characteristics in common, but at the same time, each variety is individual and unique.
