John Cabot is a true multi-use rose.  The medium red color is welcome anywhere.  The growth habit is tall.  It could be trained as a small climber, but the long canes are basically self supporting, so it can also make a nice tall, fountain shaped shrub.  Disease resistance and cold hardiness are both excellent, as you would expect, since John Cabot is a member of the Explorer Series from Canada.
