Rosa Mundi is one of the most ancient of cultivated roses. It is a striped sport of Apothecarys Rose. It is identical in all ways except the flowers are striped with white. There are recorded references to Rosa Mundi that date to the 12Th century. It is supposed to have been named after Rosamund, Henry IIs mistress. Disease resistance and winter hardiness are identical to Apothecarys Rose.
