Gloire de France is another of the more ancient Gallicas. It was introduced in 1819. Its moderately fragrant, medium pink flowers are born in profusion in mid to late June. Disease resistance is excellent in our Zone 5 gardens. We rarely see any winterkill. Gloire de France’s twiggy growth will eventually build up to make a shrub that is as wide as it is tall.
