Duc de Guiche is one of the classics of old roses. Along with the Damask, Madame Hardy, Duc de Guiche is considered to be one of the most perfect examples of 19'th century rose development. Unfortunately, like Madame Hardy, Duc to Guiche is a challenge to propagate, so we are forced to offer only limited quantities this year. The mauve blend flowers appear in mid-June for a 2 week period. Like most Gallicas, Duc de Guiche shows excellent resistance to the fungal diseases in our gardens. Duc de Guiche stays on the small side of medium in our gardens - never much more that 3 feet tall.
