This is an unknown Rugosa hybrid we received several years ago. It matches the descriptions in Suzanne Verrier's book Rosa Rugosa for Calocarpa. We will be investigating it further as time permits. Regardless, it is a lovely rose. The rogose foliage is never bothered by any of the fungal diseases in our gardens. The medium pink (with lavender undertones) single flowers are very fragrant. It blooms very heavily in June with occasional sporadic flowers later in the season if weather conditions are favorable.
