Souvenir de Philemon Cochet is the sport of the white Rugosa, Blanc Double de Cobert.    Blanc Double de Cobert is a cross between a climbing Tea rose and the white Rosa Rugosa Alba.  Souvenir de Philemon Cobert is identical in all respects to Blanc Double de Cobert, with the exception that the flower are very double - a reversion back to the Tea rose.  In cooler weather, the flowers will have a blush of pink in the centers.  Souvenir de Philemon Cobet is an exceptional rose in all respect, and we recommend it highly.
