Snowdon is a hybrid of the climbing Noisette, Alister Stella Gray and Rosa Rugosa Alba.  The result is a very fragrant, very vigorous white Rugosa that combines the best features of both parents.  Snowdon will not reach 20 feet like Alister Stella Gray, but it is much more hardy to cold temperatures, and it has the Rugosa wrinkled leaves and the good disease resistance.
