Nova Zemba is the white sport of Conrad Ferdinand Meyer. It is identical in every way except that the flowers are white (blush pink in cooler weather). Nova Zemba makes a tall arching bush. The flowers are very large and intensely fragrant. Nova Zemba does not show the typical rugose wrinkled leaves, due to its complex parentage. The lower leaves will show black spot, so planting a lower growing rose in front, solves that problem in the garden. Nova Zemba will bloom in June on old wood. It will send up new canes and bloom again in the fall. In many respects, the fall blooms are superior to the June flush.
