Agnes is one of the rare yellow Rugosa roses. Many of the yellow Rugosas have lost the qualities that make Rugosa roses so special – the winter hardiness and the disease resistance. That is not the case with Agnes. Agnes is hardy into Zone 3 and shows no disease in our gardens. Agnes will make a fairly tall shrub. It is one of the earliest roses to bloom, and it will repeat again in about 3 weeks after its first flush of blooms. Unfortunately, Agnes is almost impossible to root.
