Marie Louise offers the modern day gardener a very fragrant, medium pink rose that has larger flowers than many of the Damask roses. Marie Louise shows more of the gallica influence that can be found in some of the later Damasks. Its medium tall, shrubby growth resembles some of the gallica growth habit. The foliage stays clean throughout the season in are northwest Ohio gardens. We rarely see any winter die back.
