The good sized, pure white flowers of Blanche de Belgique are a welcome sing of spring.  They have good form and are very fragrant.  Blanche de Belgique is a vigorous shrub sending up canes 6-7 feet tall, however, it stays quite narrow.  The bush has the classic vase shape.  During full bloom, the canes will arch almost to the ground under the weight of its profuse bloom.  The foliage shows good disease resistance, and like most Albas, it can stand colder temperatures than our zone 5 winters.
